Terms of Service

These terms govern the free Diarygo beta. Paid access terms do not take effect until the verified seller identity is published and checkout is enabled. Final paid-sale terms require professional legal review.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

2. Service scope

Diarygo stores journal entries and can create AI-assisted reflections, pattern summaries, boundary scripts, and spoken responses depending on available features and plan entitlement. Diarygo is a self-reflection and productivity tool, not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, legal advice, or a substitute for a qualified professional. AI output may be incomplete or wrong.

3. Your content and license

You retain ownership of content you submit. You permit Diarygo and its disclosed processors to host, transmit, and process that content only to provide, secure, support, and maintain features you request. Do not submit content you lack rights to use.

4. Prohibited conduct

• Do not bypass access limits, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or probe the service.
• Do not use Diarygo to harm, deceive, harass, unlawfully profile, or violate another person's rights.
• Do not upload malware or use another person's account or payment instrument without authority.

5. Paid access when launched

The implemented model is one-time prepaid access for one month or twelve months through PayPal, not an automatically renewing subscription. Access begins only after completed payment is verified. Server-enforced monthly allowances reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month; unused allowance does not roll over. Total price, tax treatment, limits, duration, support, and refund terms must be shown before checkout.

6. Changes, interruption, and termination

Features may change for maintenance, security, provider outages, or product improvement. Material reductions to paid access must be handled consistently with applicable consumer law. Diarygo may restrict access for fraud, abuse, security threats, material terms violations, or legal requirements. You may delete your account in Settings.

7. Responsibility and disputes

Use judgment before acting on AI output. Nothing excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Send disputes first to ceo@bumtaeo.com. Governing-law and jurisdiction wording for paid international sales remains subject to counsel approval.

Privacy policy

Privacy Policy

The legal identity, address, telephone, privacy officer, exact Google Cloud/Firestore regions, log retention setting, and backup deletion cycle must be verified before paid launch. Until then, paid checkout remains disabled. Privacy requests for the current beta may be sent to ceo@bumtaeo.com.

1. Information processed

• Account: email, display name, profile image, authentication provider, Firebase user ID, legal-consent version, and account timestamps.
• Journal and generated data: entry text, date, tags, sentiment, themes, scores, AI reflections, scripts, and conversations you choose to create.
• Service and entitlement: selected plan, access start and expiry, monthly usage counters, settings, and error/security events.
• Payment when sales open: PayPal order and capture references, product, amount, currency, status, and limited payer reference. Diarygo does not receive full card or bank credentials.
• Local device: theme, last-used email hint, local chat history, and optional exported or folder-saved copies may remain in your browser or device.

2. Purposes and legal basis

Information is processed to create and secure accounts, synchronize entries, provide requested analysis and voice output, enforce limits, verify purchases, handle refunds and support, prevent misuse, meet legal duties, and defend legal claims. Diarygo does not sell journal content or use private reflections for advertising targeting.

3. Processors and international processing

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud: Authentication, Firestore, Hosting, Cloud Functions, Gemini analysis, and Google text-to-speech. The requested feature may send account identifiers, journal prompts, generated output, usage, and technical data to Google infrastructure outside your country, including the United States and other Google processing locations.
• PayPal, when checkout opens: checkout, payment confirmation, fraud controls, disputes, and refunds. Payment data may be processed in the United States, Singapore, and other PayPal processing locations.

Provider processing is also governed by provider terms and contracts. Exact service regions and the transfer mechanism applicable to the verified seller must be recorded in the launch data-flow register before paid launch.

4. Retention and deletion

Active account and journal records remain until you delete an entry or account, unless retention is required for security or law. When account deletion succeeds, the active Firebase authentication user, profile, journal, analysis, usage, and paid entitlement are removed. Transaction records may be de-identified and retained for the legally required period; Korean e-commerce records may require up to five years for contract/payment records and three years for complaints. Provider backups and logs follow configured deletion cycles, which must be verified and published before paid launch. Exported copies remain under your control.

5. Rights and requests

You can edit available profile fields, export saved entries and analysis, delete entries, and permanently delete the account in Settings. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or other rights available under applicable law by emailing ceo@bumtaeo.com. Identity verification may be required. Complaints may also be made to the competent privacy regulator.

6. Security and children

Diarygo uses authenticated access, TLS transport, Firestore access rules, restricted server credentials, and provider security controls. No internet service is absolutely secure. Diarygo is for adults aged 18 or older and is not intentionally directed to children.

Withdrawal and refund policy

No payment can currently be made. This policy describes the intended one-time prepaid model and must be reconciled with the verified seller, PayPal live flow, tax treatment, and qualified legal advice before checkout opens.

1. Digital access begins

When sales open, digital access begins after PayPal reports a completed payment and Diarygo's server verifies the order, amount, currency, product, and capture. The customer must be shown this start point before payment.

2. Withdrawal

A customer may request withdrawal within seven calendar days after purchase or service commencement, subject to mandatory law. Any legal limitation for digital content that has already begun must be separately and clearly consented to before supply; it will not be assumed merely from account creation or payment.

3. Full and partial refunds

Duplicate or unauthorized charges, failure to activate purchased access, or a material mismatch from the sold service will be investigated for a full refund or another remedy required by law. A change-of-mind request after lawful withdrawal rights end may be declined. A partial refund method for partially used fixed-term access has not been approved and is therefore a launch blocker.

4. Request channel and timing

Email ceo@bumtaeo.com from the account email with the PayPal order ID, purchase date, plan, and reason. Do not delete the account before resolution. Approved refunds must return through PayPal to the original method. Diarygo's response target is two business days; provider settlement timing may vary.

5. Access after refund

A full refund ends the paid entitlement. Any partial-refund effect on entitlement must be defined, tested, and disclosed before partial refunds are offered.

Manage or leave Diarygo

Edit account information

Open Dashboard, then Settings and Account. You can change your display name. Email/password members can request a verified email change. Google or Apple members manage their primary email and provider security with that provider.

Recover access

Use Forgot password for an email/password account. Use Google or Apple account recovery for provider login. Diarygo does not reveal an account email from a name alone. For order-assisted identification, contact support from a secure email and provide the PayPal order ID.

Export data

In Settings and Data, choose Export My Data to download a JSON copy of entries and analysis currently available to your account. Protect the file because it may contain sensitive reflections.

Delete the account

In Settings and Account, choose Delete Account and complete recent sign-in verification when required. Active authentication, profile, journal, analysis, usage, and entitlement records are removed. Legally required transaction records may remain separately retained and de-identified. Request an eligible refund before deletion.

Include the account email, approximate incident time, browser/device, and PayPal order ID when relevant. Never email a password, full card number, or bank credential.
